"My first date was at a live. The first date I ever went on…was to some guy I knew’s hardcore punk band’s live. Huh, now that I think about it, that’s pretty saaaad (grimace). ‘Cause y’know, the guys at those shows start moshing and get all violent… But, at that time, I only had interest in music, nothing else. I didn’t even think of a different location to go on a date… The first gift she ever gave me was a CD with a bunch of different artists on it. I gave her a purse. I remember doing my best to find this really expensive one that she had wanted. She was so happy, I remember thinking I was glad I did it (laugh). But for real, seeing a person’s happy face is great. It can make you so happy. Now, I want to make people happy with music."
